Buceo Sin Barreras was founded in 2009 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by Daniel Zuber, IAHD Trainer, specialist in adapted diving, and an international reference in accessibility and inclusion through diving.

The NGO brings together professionals and support staff committed to promoting access to diving for people with and without disabilities, following international standards of safety, accessibility, and inclusion. Buceo Sin Barreras also has recognised members in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Spain, and Australia, strengthening its international network and commitment to inclusive diving worldwide.

Since its founding, Buceo Sin Barreras has organised completely free introductory diving sessions for children, young people, and adults, reaching thousands of participants through activities in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Spain, and Portugal. Its mission is to create opportunities for participation on equal terms, using diving as a tool for social inclusion, personal growth, and community engagement.Throughout its history, Buceo Sin Barreras has received recognition from institutions in the fields of diving, sports, tourism, healthcare, and human rights.

Volunteering: How Can You Get Involved?

We are looking for people who are passionate about diving and inclusion and are willing to contribute their time, knowledge, and skills to make adapted diving experiences possible.

We welcome both certified divers and people with no previous diving experience who are interested in helping with surface support, participant assistance, event organisation, and logistics. A willingness to learn adapted diving techniques, work as part of a team, and respect each participant’s autonomy and individual needs is essential.

Would You Like to Be Part of Our Team?

If you would like to help more people discover the underwater world and experience the joy of diving, we invite you to get in touch.

It's great that you are interested in Stichting (on)Beperkt Duiken! Are you already a certified diver and would you enjoy helping people with disabilities learn to dive? Do you live somewhat near Alkmaar or Lisse, or are you willing to travel there?

Then Stichting (on)Beperkt Duiken could really use your help.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to help at the swimming pool on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon about 10 times a year, and possibly one or a few times a year in open water (e.g., Vinkeveen).

The group in Lisse dives on Saturdays, and the one in Alkmaar on Sundays. All volunteers, dive instructors, and supervisors are welcome and will have the opportunity to take an IAHD refresher course within the foundation to guide this target group in a responsible manner. Previous experience with this target group is not a requirement.

Feel free to come and see for yourself, above or below the water, how much fun this is.
